Kaufman County, TX is located east of Dallas County and south of Rockwall County.  The cities of Forney, Terrell and Kaufman, as well as many others, are located within its boundaries.  According to a 2019 US Census estimate, the population of Kaufman County is approximately 136,000 and has been growing at a rapid rate the last few years due to new residential real estate development in areas that were previously rural.  Kaufman County is roughly 807 square miles in size.
